It can grate hard pieces of chocolate quickly, but you need to melt the chocolate, put it in a plastic container, refrigerate for 10-15 minutes, and then grate. It's easy to flip and quick to rub, but it's cheaply made so I don't know how long it will last. I would pay more to get a better quality and more durable kitchen tool.
