I have never used a steam mop to clean and disinfect hard floors. It's good that an instruction manual is included. First, distilled water is recommended. Be sure to use distilled water to reduce build-up in the water tank... Distilled water will extend the life of your steam cleaner. It is very easy to assemble. I have a very large house with ceramic floors and laminate floors. I like that the cable is 22 feet. It also comes with 6 washable pads and a filling bottle. The cushions are machine washable. The water tank of the steam cleaner does not hold much water. I did my small kitchen, small guest bathroom, large great room, large dining room and had to refill about 3 times. I have to manually step on the bottom of the steamer to get the handle up and down. However, when the steamer is in use, it rotates left and right on its own. To activate the movement of the pads, I just manually press the steamer and this makes it rotate automatically. I wait about 30 seconds for the vapor to start. I can say that it glides easily over the floor. It rotates automatically all over the floor and I don't press on it. It cleans very well and I don't feel like I'm using a lot of energy after using it. It has two modes: simple for quick cleaning and normal for everyday use. I use light mode for laminate and normal mode for ceramic tile. It rises in small corners. It doesn't fit under my sofa because they aren't high enough off the floor. The chairs in the dining room were easily bypassed because they are taller than my sofa. Overall, this is a good mop steamer. First, I'm not happy that I had to manually step on the steamer to get the handle up and down. I would have liked the tank to be a bit bigger. I like that it glides easily across the floor.
