A lot more space than I was expecting

I purchased this because I was looking for a better option for a secure phone holder. what I got was a bag that is a little bulky though it doesn’t get in the way It appears to be very sturdy and well made but I’m not sure why it is that I don’t like this as much as I thought I would. I think maybe expectations were a little high. maybe design issues that I’m not real keen on but for whatever reason I’m not sure I would buy this again. I have two different bikes and I’m trying it on. my first bike is a mountain bike which I do use off-road and the bag appears to hold well in most circumstances but I have found that it gets a bit twisted after some hard riding. it gets pretty hot here and I’ve noticed it after about 12 to 15 mile ride my phone is quite toasty, another words, it’s hot. there’s not much ventilation in the bag so I have to leave it partially unzipped so that my phone doesn’t overheat. The bag itself has quite a bit of room for all of your necessities keys wallet phone even bike tools and such if you don’t have a seat bag. I think my take away from this is if you’re looking for this to do anything well it would be more suited on a commuter bike. that’s where I’m using it now and I seem to have settled in on where it’s going to be used. I’ve seen smaller ones that have a little more contour and look a little less bulky or brick like on the bike not sure how much room is in the bag but I think next time I will opt for something a little less obtrusive. Because at the end of the day it’s better to look good. form over function maybe. i don’t know. It’s not very expensive compared to what you can find at your local bike shop I think I saw a Bontrager bag at our local Trek shop and it was $45. So there you go. Good luck And don’t forget to ride your bike today.
