Review on 🔊 Pyle PFA300: Powerful 90 Watt HiFi Stereo Amplifier for Home, Car, and Boat Audio Systems by Eli Cooper

I purchased this unit after needing a small amp to power a set of 8 inch rock speakers in a backyard theater setup, with the added need to from time to time to run through a splitter for 2 additional poolside speakers 6.5 inch computer speakers. What I got was a noisy little gremlin with a tendency to get angrier and harsher at higher levels. I have many class D amps for different projects and have tried many different manufacturers. I needed something a little more attractive than my usual 15 WPC so I went with this guy. Of course I know the performance of these things should be viewed with a lot of skepticism but it didn't seem anywhere near doing what was claimed with the one that came with it i already had my own class d amplifier with a lower power rating and it unsettled me. So I can at least confirm that the power supply is reliable. Ultimately, this unit sounded hoarse, prone to signal hiss, and when the EQ was off, tinny and flat. However, with the EQ turned on, the bass became more noticeable, but the dynamics disappeared, and noise appeared even at a moderate volume setting. Better in every respect (sound character, balance, noise level, etc.). Build quality was what I expected for its price point, although I did have issues with the aux input making a lot of noise even with a slight bump in sound. Cable. This doesn't happen with any of my other amps with the same cable. I also tried a different cable with the same result. It appears that there is a grounding issue with this device. This is my first experience with Pyle Electronics and while I'll admit that even the best companies can make mistakes here and there, it didn't leave a good impression on me.
