The only downside of this scanner is that it doesn't work with wired Linux, but I have to admit that this one of which is the reasons why i bought it. This scanner is amazing. It scans documents to a memory card (Micro SD) and saves them as a .jpg image. I was able to remove the card from the scanner and use the micro SD adapter to plug it into my computer and then use a program called gscan on Linux to create PDF files from the images. So the problem is solved. Removing and reinserting the card into the scanner didn't seem to bother it at all, and it comes with software (for Windows and I have no idea what it does because I've used it with Linux), calibration and cleaning sheets. . So you don't need to worry. I have to admit I was skeptical about buying it (at such a low price) but it can run Linux (if the card is removed) and works great. I'd say it's money well spent and I don't regret the purchase at all. You should be aware that it will not work without a micro SD card. So if you don't have one, get one. before you buy. Otherwise it's a good scanner. 5 Stars.
