I say that b/c of the length of the legs and the drawstring--it will be a little big on a 6, just right on a 7, and a probably getting a little short in length/tight in belly around a size 8. They come down almost to the middle of his calf, and we have to cinch the drawstring quite a bit to keep them on his butt, but they are SO SOFT.
