I was blown away by how well made and durable these hangers and/or closet organizers are. I've had something similar in the past and they didn't last long, I don't have the same concern about them. They didn't go around the rail in my bedroom closet, which is in the old house, but I use them in my laundry room to hang my shirts to air dry. It worked very well. I recommend only having a backup plan if your rods are old or thick. Very versatile and comfortable.
