These shoes are very tight and comfortable. In fact, they're so comfortable I can easily wear them all day, even on a leisurely mile-long walk, but they make my feet sweat like crazy. The material they are made of is very high quality. It is skin-friendly and does not chafe on the back of the ankles. However, the wavy design is printed on the top of the foot and looks quite odd. The soles of the shoes are textured and feel like they're walking on sesame seeds, but they're surprisingly comfortable. The sole is cushioned and offers good grip when walking. They have a very strange effect when you take them off. Due to their unique texture, they can leave a slight numbness in the sole of the foot for a few minutes when you first take them off. My biggest complaints about these shoes are that they are not breathable and not designed to get wet. . Due to the fact that these shoes cover most of the foot, they can really feel like a swamp at times. The material does not breathe, feet dry for a long time. It's not a problem if you wear them indoors or on a cooler day, but on hot days when you might want to wear sandals, they almost become slippery when walking. Also, the fact that they can't get wet makes them a lot less useful to me. They aren't designed or marketed as water shoes, but they call them "adventure shoes," which implies some level of outdoor activity. Overall I find this shoe really comfortable but I wouldn't say it's the best. choice at the current price of about $52.
