In general, a good device for its price. It was first purchased for use in a home PC, which stood 4 walls from the router in the back room. Naturally, there was practically no connection. Then the tenda u12 was bought - it is both more powerful and more expensive. The problem was solved. After some time, I changed xiaomi mi router 3 (tired of my constant glitches) to a normal mikrotik. Although the latter does not have 5GHz, the quality of data transfer over 2.4GHz turned out to be much better than xiaomi. As a result, due to the reason that this adapter did not get up on the working PC without installing drivers, I had to put it back on the PC in the next room and, oh, miracle! It works well, shows 3 out of 4 bars and doesn't cause problems. It turns out that the problem was in the xiaomi router, and not in the adapter. Of course, there are adapters with a more powerful antenna, with 5 GHz, etc., but you can’t buy them at this price. So in terms of price / functionality, it's definitely a five. The main thing to consider is that if there is no way to install a driver, w311mi will not work.
