We followed the directions and would consider ourselves capable, handy people and the quality of this arch is pretty flimsy, so it made for a poor assembly. This broke apart so many times before we could get it all in shape to put into the ground. The piece they give you to help hammer it into the ground completely bent and was eventually totally unusable - we had to go through several of our own tools to make it work. If I had know this, I would have spent a little more to get something a bit more sturdy. That said, it was such a huge pain that we will keep it now that it's up. We are growing star jasmine on it, but it's still too small to know if the arch will work well with the vines. Fingers crossed!
