This is a great little pot to plant succulents and cactus in. Those type of plants have shallow root systems. When placed in a deeper pot or plastic pot, the plants have a tendency to get root rot because the moisture stays in the pot longer. This is a good depth and size for those plants. Unlike plastic planters, the terra cotta is porous and drains well. I will surely order more in various widths in the future. They were also a decent price.
