This rug is suitable for children. I have a toddler and a child and they both enjoy playing with this rug. My baby likes melodies and he is also learning rhymes. My daughter is teaching my son to learn animal names with these animal sounds. Interesting to watch kids. At first my son was scared to touch it but then he really liked it and this rug keeps him on his toes. He touches and kicks the keys and enjoys the sounds. Easy to fold and easy to wash if spilled on it. The volume button is an advantage because you can adjust it accordingly. A good product.
