The speakers are very soft. can hardly be heard due to normal street noise. And if your kids are too small for headphones, it's kind of pointless. Image quality is ok. There are no complaints about skipping movies. The only real issue I have other than speaker volume is that there is a touchscreen on the front of the player. I like it for eating and for tilting the screen. For real. Damn. Aggravating. If you have a 4 or 2 year old who is constantly kicking him up and down. I spent HOURS climbing back into the back seat trying to figure out why he wasn't playing. Again and again. We have a smaller truck so we had nowhere to park it so it wouldn't be touched. For older children or large vehicles, this is probably not a problem. Just thought I'd throw it away if you have small kids and a small car.
