On the plus side, the bowl is big enough for a good assortment of fruit. Also, since it's plastic, I don't have to worry about it breaking as much as if it were made of glass.On the other hand, though it's moderately pretty, it's nowhere as nice as the truly excellent product photos appear. I keep trying not to feel let down. Maybe the high price is to blame for my high expectations. On flaw I did not expect is that the bowl has no vents and seems to trap the gas some fruits emit that cause others to ripen (and rot) faster. I have learned that is why other fruit bowls emphasize ventilation.
