Review on π Rankie DisplayPort (DP) to HDMI Cable - 4K Resolution Support, 6 ft Length by Mike Travers
Contrary to the specification, does not achieve 4K resolution.
I hate writing negative reviews because everyone loves positive reviews. It also means I'm stuck with a bad product. In short, this cable does not reach the maximum resolution. The maximum resolution when using this cable is 1920 x 1080 and it shakes. If I had known that, I would not have bought the cable. It looks great and seems to work at lower resolutions, but that's where the fun ends. I've tried this on two computers (same 4K capable monitor) and in both cases the picture was shaky, only getting to 1920x1080. Non-conversion cables (DP-DP, HDMI-HDMI) work fine and drive the monitor correctly. I give 2 stars because it seems to work and also because nobody pays attention to 1 star. Ratings / Rants. I hope you get better results than me with this product. I will contact the supplier in hopes they have a replacement.
