It's lightweight and the rubber bottom keeps it securely in place for everyday use. However, if your mouse is set to a low resolution, I would recommend increasing it by one size as it looks larger in the promotional images. I didn't read the actual pad size because it was large before XL. There is also a small faded mark raised on one of the edges. It's annoying when your mouse runs over it, it's quite thin and the glide is less than a hard surface or glass mouse pad, but it's a million times better than the one in school or the one that came with the computer
