I spend a lot of time at home sitting and working at my computer and thought it would be helpful to put this article on my desk next to me to to remind me Take a little break every hour. I chose these because the price was right and they seemed to help. The hourglass was well packaged. Sitting on my desk, it's surprisingly elegant. The first time I turned it over, I timed it and it ended exactly at 59:55, a staggering five seconds an hour. I don't know if they're that accurate, but I think that's an excellent result for an hourglass. The only complaint I have is that the brown sand doesn't show as well as some of the other colors, but I was pretty sure it did when I ordered it, so I'm not deducting stars for that . Also, in the long run, the warm earth tone (which is a nice shade of brown) will be easier to live with than some of the bright colors I've seen in some of these hourglasses. If you're looking for an hour timer, it's going to be difficult to upgrade unless you need a cage around it for protection.
