Review on DMC 61253 Peacock Embroidery Scissor by Tammy Miller

I have to say I am disappointed with these shears. I have several DMC embroidery scissors scattered around the house in different areas I work in and these are the only ones I've ever come across with a dead spot on the blade. The tips are cleanly cut, but about halfway to the blades there is a section about 1/4 inch long where you need to "saw" the thread or yarn to cut it. Either it is a manufacturing defect that should have been discovered by DMC. before the scissors left the factory, or the scissors are DMC "Fake" branded to look like the real thing.
