Yes, there are instructions on how to make a scarf. BUT . I had to come back to the Best Buy page I bought it from to find out how to install the PEGS correctly. How about a PDF of instructions on how to create something other than a scarf, or at least something about how to increase or decrease the number of stitches in a row. Not everything is made from a square or rectangle. It's kind of like "Here it is, go figure it out for yourself" Also, now that I've tried to install the pegs, they fit VERY loosely and will probably fall out when I try to use this. If it wasn't such a pain, I'd return it. Never buying from them again. Not really happy.
