Although advertised as 6" long, these shovels are 8 3/4" long. (What REALLY measures 6 inches is just the length of the bowl.) If, like us, you want to keep one of these in each of your dry food cans, the cans need to be taller than the overall length of the bowl. (If we thought they were longer than 6 inches, we would buy the smaller capacity shovels instead! The seller should make it clear on their listing what 6 inches means.) These are good shovels at $3. everyone, but I wouldn't call them big shovels. They bear the marks of a maker who usually polishes before pre-finishing is complete. Admiral Craft imports them from China. Scoops turn dirty black when washed in the dishwasher.
