I tried using this for outdoor landscape videos but it didn't work very well. When lifted along with the center column, it is not stable and the tripod will sway at the slightest breeze. There is an additional hook on the underside of the center column that you can use to add weight. But who wants to lug around rocks or sandbags? The wind wasn't strong at all, just a light breeze. The tote bag also broke the first time I took it outside! Now I'm stuck with this as I'm already 3 days past the return window. Just save some money and buy a genuine Manfrotto tripod.
