First of all, my grandmother's sofa is a camelback, which you almost never see anymore. This sofa was probably 10-15 years old when my PARENTS got married in 1944! We have photos of the sofa in old family photos! It's easily 80 years old. It has an oak frame and it's long, although I didn't get the large after measuring it. About 30 years ago, a family member recovered in a really butt-ugly pattern which, as you can see, over the years my cats have adored it! I thought about getting it recovered but that's super expensive and I still have cats.I had looked at other covers at Bed, Bath and Beyond but they wanted 3x as much and they weren't two pieces. This one is super reasonable so if the cats destroy it I'm not out big bucks. It covers that horrible fabric too. I'd buy it again! I have equally old wing chairs and am thinking of getting the same covers for those. Because the line of the fabric meets with the legs and doesn't overlap them, I might have to make elastic loops. Still a bargain! Very easy to put on. It's never going to perfectly smooth because of the shape of the back and arms but it's a thousand percent improvement. (If I post a picture of the whole sofa uncovered, I'd have to send you all seasickness pills!)Yes, i'd recommend this.
