Review on Adidas Ultraboost Shift Pink Rose: Unmatched Comfort and Style in Every Step by Kevin Huot

Buy 1/2 size larger

After spending a few thousand dollars and a few Ultraboosts, I learned the hard way that the Cold Rdy and Negotiation versions need to be ordered a half size up from your normal size. This is due to the protective sock lining that covers the entire front of the shoe as opposed to the regular fabric that regular booster shoes are made of. This makes the toe box SO stiff and doesn't let your fingers move freely unless you order half a size up from your normal size. I made the mistake of ordering almost every Cold Rdy & Parley version available because I liked the look better, but doing so in my regular size meant they were all too small and had to come back. Sent them all back albeit frustrated and impatient, then ordered them again (about 8 pairs total in all different colors) but went up a half size and now they are perfect! And to be honest, almost is superior to the usual Ultraboost in comfort and quality. Also, I found the 21's to be the most comfortable of all in the cold Rdy/Parley versions. The regular 21's are the same as the regular 22's, they have firmer soles which seems normal but they chafe at the ankles on the outside and in the heels which makes them almost unwearable. The only other boosters you can compare are the older 19, 20 or DNA X types. And I'll say they're a little less comfortable simply because those versions were simpler in design and the soles don't curve forward or sideways as much , making them flatter and a little less comfortable. Anyway, that's my two cents. Less a detailed test report than my experiences with Ultraboost of all versions in the last few months. Do what you want with it. Oh, and three stars because it doesn't allow me to rate only the cold version of rdy because believe me, they're not like the regular versions at all. I would give the regular versions a maximum of 2 stars and the parley & cold rdy versions 5 stars if you order half a size to a full size larger than your normal shoe size. That goes for both men and women, trust me I've tested at least 30 pairs of men's and women's running shoes in the last 60 days. The only difference is the coloring. Good luck with future purchases, hope this helps
