This works great on my 1st gen Bose Sound Dock! I had a hard time finding the right bluetooth adapter but after a few failed attempts I stumbled across this one and it worked. Was very happy to have found a solution for my Bose sounddock which has become a very expensive and obsolete electronic device. Deducted 1 star for the following reasons: it's only available in black (I'd prefer white to match my sounddock) and I don't like the weird female voice that comes out when I turn it on and off - she says "turn on" , "Pair" and "Turn off". It's a bit annoying. And you have to turn it off between uses or it keeps saying "Pairing". Luckily the seller included additional instructions letting you know about it. But it would better if he didn't.
