Installation was easy. I've had this machine for two months now. It was a replacement for an old unit that had been in service for over 12 years. There were light brown particles in the water when it was first installed (you can leave a glass of water overnight and it will settle to the bottom of the glass). I drained the unit and let it run for a few hours. After that I didn't see any settlement. This device is also connected to my ice maker. I had to replace two filters in my fridge because they got clogged after installing this system. I've contacted support without much success. Now I will remove and replace. Wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.
