This appears to be a very durable 12V DC inverter that still does the job. Of course, I couldn't test it with the advertised power of 3000 watts. The highest load I've been able to apply to it so far is around 700-800W AC. He seems to be able to do that with no problems. The exterior design is very solid, with a very strong heatsink and fairly solid components. To be honest I have a couple of 2000 watt inverters and they don't seem to be much bigger or heavier than this one so I'd take a 3000 watt clam with a grain of salt. Although so far so good.
