Improved my security

Improved your security Jul 14, 2014 By SteveVerified Purchase (What's this? ) After a recent home invasion I decided to improve my security in every way possible. I live in a very upscale neighborhood in Henderson, Nevada. My front door was kicked in while I was home and armed. I saw that the hinges were the weakest piece of hardware on the door. My contractor informed me that the garage's back door was the second most attacked object after the patio's sliding glass doors. We examined the door and found that it had been forced open in the past. I ordered 2 sets of these 2x4 holders. They are attached between 3 loops. One in the middle between the highest and middle loops. The other is between the middle loop and the bottom loop. This involves cutting out some of the moldings to allow the 2x4 to slide in and out sideways. Outside-in assembly requires 8" 5/16 cartridge screws. The holes in the brackets are only 1/4". Drill them out and I used large washers on the outside. I'm sure SWAT will do this door now cannot open. This part was used together with a closed handlebar holder.
