I bought this Rocketek hub adapter to replace the Satechi adapter as it plugs into a USB 3 port instead of a USB C port on my 2017 iMac is connected. I needed a USB-C port on the back of my iMac to connect a second monitor, and the Satechi hub adapter didn't support HDMI over the front USB-C port. Everything was working fine until I tried syncing my Kobo eBooks with Caliber on the iMac. The Rocketek hub provided power to Kobo, but didn't recognize Kobo for the epub launch. Luckily I prefer to use an Apple USB keyboard and the hub in the keyboard recognized Kobo and I can still download electronic pubs. So I have a workaround, but I'd rather connect the Kobos to a Rocketek hub for the best possible charging and syncing with my iPhone. Not sure if Rocketek's or Kobo's firmware is to blame, but so far so good.
