Review on Feit Electric MH100 MED 100 Watt by Linda Braley

I have an Eaton/Regent/Cooper Lighting GT100H Dusk Till Dawn that recently started randomly turning on and off at night and seemed weak compared to previous specs. These are great flashlights (9 years with no problems) so of course they stopped making them! I replaced the photocell (usually used by several manufacturers), no change in function; So I went to buy lamps. I was looking for something cheap in case there is a ballast/starter problem (costs more than the entire bulb) with the intention of replacing the entire bulb if needed. I bought a GT100H to replace a 12 year old GT150H that had dead ballast (and was discontinued). This lamp works great, very bright, no flicker and no hassle at all. It's too early to judge durability, the metal wire visible (assuming it's an internal mass) is much thinner than the standard bulb which lasted 9 years. How this affects longevity worries me, everything else looked like a factory bulb. Sent immediately with other items, it did not break despite Revane's allergy to bubble wrap or any form of protection. I bought a similar "Sunbrite" bulb from "ICE MEN", a Revain version that was just left in a retail box that rattled when I put it together. Revain handled it, but given their fubard and return shipping costs you'd think they would learn how to ship glass items (all items) properly. The price of starched peanuts and bubble wrap should be lower than the cost of damage and training.
