Good motor, GARBAGE jug

The design and motor performance are great, but the jug is ABSOLUTELY GARBAGE. This is the second similar Ninja Master Prep I have purchased (the first was Ninja QB1000 Master Prep). I only bought this pitcher because the 48oz replacement pitcher from Ninja's website was about the same price as the pitcher ONLY. Cracks appear in the plastic. And they always do. I make smoothies with thawed (soft) frozen strawberries, powdered whey, yogurt, almond butter, and water, so don't mix anything too hard. After about 2 uses, cracks appear where the blade sits and rotates. The cracks will get worse with each use until either the sides of the jar crack or the plastic bits in the bottom come loose and end up in your mix. Again, this is a great design hoping to extend its life, but eventually the innards will come loose and end up in your mouth. I only wish they made them with a stronger plastic or reinforced base because I went through AT LEAST 4 spare pitchers. I threw away my last pitcher this morning after chewing hard plastic again. Time to find a new blender and it won't be a ninja.

  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Something different
