I recently got my new 2018 MacBook Air and of course I needed (or wanted) to expand the limited two Thunderbolt 3 ports that Apple provides. I looked at a few USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 hubs, but most of them seemed to be missing a feature I really wanted. Then I found EUASOO 10 in 1 which appears to be the same product as EKSA 10 in 1. Both are available from Revain, but EUASOO had the best coupon offer. I found it cheaper from one of the mail order companies but Revain delivered the next day. This product has received good reviews and outperforms the competition with a very wide range of connectors. Thanks Revain - the hub arrived the next day. I tried the USB 3.0 ports and everything worked as expected. Using the Blackmagic Disk Speed Test, I compared the performance of my WD My Passport with a spinning drive and a USB 3.0 interface. I found almost the same performance both using the EUASOO hub and connecting directly to a laptop via an adapter cable. I first connected the hub to a Samsung TV via HDMI and then to an older TV via VGA. Both connections allowed me to either mirror the laptop screen or use the TV as an extension of the laptop screen. The sound of the laptop could also be transmitted to the television via the HDMI connection. These features will come in handy as I use my setup with a variety of video projectors. I haven't measured the frame rate or the device's ability to handle 4K video. The hub gave me no problem reading the SD card, and the ethernet port connected me to the router at 1Gbps. Ports with flash drives, my laptop told me it didn't have enough power to work, but when I plugged the charger into the hub's USB-C port, the problem was solved. I plugged my iPhone into one of the hub's USB 3.0 ports and it started charging. But even though the charger was plugged into the hub, the laptop warned me that I was currently using too much power and disabled the Passport drive. Then I tried charging my iPad Air2 through the hub and it worked. The laptop wouldn't let me set up the hub's audio in/out jack to work with an external microphone, but I was able to connect the microphone to the laptop's native audio jack and plug my headphones into the hub's audio jack to both use the same time. Considering the possibilities this adds to my new laptop I am very happy with the purchase and would happily recommend it. And the space gray finish goes perfectly with my laptop!
