Excellent value for money - it's BIG.

For me it's 2 in 1. Yes, it would be great to travel with because of its thickness and size. And you iron on the surface you just used. I iron so much and at high temperatures, so the ironing coating had to be changed frequently. I used a towel until I received this one. I'm impressed by how big it is and it's definitely thick enough to turn any surface into a makeshift ironing board. I'm just glad I have an extra layer of protection when I'm ironing something.
