The dots gradually peel off the non-slip fabric on the back
Dogs LOVE them. Great heating pads. The upper stays new for many years. I have many Aspen rugs and beds. They are my favorites for dogs. The problem is that the non-slip fabric has small dots on the back. They're starting to come off and you'll find these little red dots all over the laundry room and wherever the beds are. It took me months to figure out where all the red dots were until I found them in the washing machine after washing many pads.
