When I watched the keynote on the new iPhone 12 in October, I was intrigued but skeptical about MagSafe. I was familiar with this concept as I had it on an old MacBook. So I decided to give it a try when I'm ready. I ordered a 20w charger and power bank from the apple store to try with my corporate partner discount. It was very cool! And quickly charged my phone and left the port open. But the charger doesn't stay "safe" with a Spigen case. So I took a chance and started looking for MagSafe cases. I looked at OtterBox cases and they only had magnets inside. So I turned my attention to Apple itself. I was thinking of leather and silicone, but I have a product (RED) iPhone 12 and didn't want to hide the color. So I decided on a transparent hard case. I have never owned a genuine iPhone case but I expected quality from Apple and was not disappointed. The phone was easy to put on and fit well (a little difficult to take out). It rolls up on the sides to protect the screen from falls and doesn't interfere with the Lightning connector at all. The power and volume buttons were a bit stiff at first, but that has been fixed. The only real problem I had is the mute rocker switch. It's a little hard to get to. The easiest way to fix this is to go to Accessibility and set the Press Back feature to mute on double tap. Overall this is a great product! Well built and holds a MagSafe charger well! I use it in a car with a cheap magnetic mount with the aforementioned MagSafe charger and my phone won't move an inch while driving, even on the worst Indiana roads!
