This scraper is heavier weave and better quality than the cheaper ones I've bought. First my cat examined it and sniffed it before leaving. I took all of his squeaky mice and stuck them in the holes while he watched. Well he went a little crazy, attacked and took them out one by one! Now Henry sleeps, rests, scratches and plays with his mice on it. I didn't use catnip and there's a lot less paper scraps due to the tighter fold binding. I love the design and color of this scratching post as it matches my living room area. The size is perfect. It's a bit bigger than the cheaper ones, but perfect for sitting next to my leather chair. I will be ordering another one soon. Update 3/2020: I have just ordered a second one and am disappointed with the size as it is smaller than my original purchase. The wave binding is also slightly different. There is an annoying white label with the company name on both sides of the scratching post, which cannot be removed.
