A high-quality USB-C travel hub for 2016-2017 MacBook Pro users.

I was looking for a hub that I could use when traveling and that would suit me. Unlike hubs that connect with a cable, this one snaps into place and doesn't take up much space. This allows me to connect to both sides of the laptop, which is very handy on the plane. The fit and finish of the device I received feels good. This unit also powers my 13" MacBook Pro at full power. I've come across a few of them that max out at 25-30W, which is a big deal. Pros * Fits my laptop snugly, seems well made * Manages a large number of connections (Power, USB-C, 2 USB 3.0, SD and Micro SD) * Performance reaches laptops at 60W - see last image (full performance on a 13" MacBook can be achieved with a 15 -inch charger to be tested) * Has a built-in 4K HDMI port (many others don't) Cons * HDMI is only 4K at 30Hz (no hub I've tested can run at 60Hz) * Gray gamut is normal DVD/Blu-ray Drive Note: This hub is confusing: it supports Thunderbolt 3 4K/5K@60Hz on the same port you charge on.You must either charge the laptop or use the monitor on that connection.
