Review on Toshiba DR430 DVD Recorder by Craig Sexton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's money well spent

I've always had a DVD recorder since it first came out and paid hundreds of dollars for it in the early years. Since then they have fallen in price but not in quality. This Toshiba recorder arrived in its original box showing the contents. Normally Revain products come in a different box so I didn't have to guess the contents of that box I signed up for. The Toshiba DR430 recorder doesn't come with a tuner, which saved me money on the side, which wouldn't do me any good either as I currently still need a converter to watch TV channels. Don't buy anything with a tuner, save your money, if you can still watch channels for free with a built-in tuner, believe me it won't happen again in the US, TV people just haven't come to your area yet. For $100 this is a great product. It can be connected via RCA, S-Video, Component and HDMI. Instructions are easy to follow, remote control is very easy to use, very easy to program and complete, RCA picture quality is great, but HDMI does it a little better and can record up to 8 hours and is very thin so doesn't take a lot of space away. I recommend buying this DVD burner without a tuner.

Pros
  • 1080p video resolution
