My waist size is 35" so I ordered the medium length. Other comments mentioned the belt comes a little longer than they expected so they cut it to length and melted the cut end with a cigarette lighter. I ended cutting off 4" from the end that is connected to the buckle. Instead of melting by flame, I used a hot glue gun which seems to have worked at least as well.
