After going to the local discount truck store and buying a tarp that always seemed to be on sale, I decided to try another brand. The truck magazine tarp sometimes didn't fit on my 6x12 dump truck. Two of the four tarpaulins were slightly shorter than the other two and didn't cover the entire area, and the eyelets fell off. This tarp has heavier grommets and heavier material. I was a little hesitant to keep heavier items on top of the dump when using cargo tarps because they are very flimsy, but these tarps definitely hold larger items well. They cost about $15 more, but if you haul dump trucks for a living, you'll appreciate the superior quality of these tarps. If you've ever moved a landfill without a tarp, you know what I mean by the name. Most municipalities require tarps for all loads. The corners of these heavier tarpaulins are also reinforced with material to prevent tearing. Edge and corner chords are also significantly heavier. Sizing is correct, so order the right size. Cheaper tarps seem to have memory, by which I mean they don't lay flat anymore and always look sloppy. Try stacking 8 to 10 tarps and making a neat stack of cheaper tarps, it's no fun. These tarpaulins still look good and fold well to this day. Thank you Kotap and Revain for a great product and service.
