I needed to transfer data from my dead laptop's hard drive to another computer (laptop with Windows 8.1 Pro, new computer with Windows 10 Pro). It was an inexpensive solution. After the data transfer I formatted the laptop drive and now I have a nice 128GB portable drive. The quality seems good to me. Installing the drive was easy. There are a number of plastic latches that hold drives of different lengths in place. Latches for shorter drives will interfere with installing longer drives. I tore up the one that got in my way. So if you need an enclosure that will be used with drives of different lengths, this option might not be the best choice. I had a few issues along the way. The first was caused by operator error - the inability to fully seat the drive into the slot. After this was fixed, my computer recognized the new drive immediately. Then it turned out that my hard drive was encrypted. A little google search helped me find the encryption key which thankfully uploaded to my one drive account. Neither had anything to do with the function of the new drive. Once fixed everything worked perfectly.
