I use these types of grips exclusively. I really like the soft feel. They do tend to wear out rather quickly. I recently had carpal tunnel surgery on my left hand. Since the surgery, my left hand in much weaker than my right. I am a right-handed golfer and it is very difficult for me to keep my right hand out of the swing. Where my thumb on my right hand sits on the grip, this is the spot that wears out first. This really ticks me off, but also it gives me feedback to remind me to really try to keep the right hand out of my golf swing. Regardless, I will continue to use this style of grip whether it wears out quickly or not. It's all about the feel as far as I'm concerned.
