I have used my new instant thermometer 4 times since purchase; I compared the reading to the temperature on my other old instant read thermometer (which was great, but the reading started to flicker). I am absolutely satisfied with my purchase of this new one. The only thing I'm missing is a pocket to put it in before storing it in the utensil drawer, but it's almost as good that this new one folds up for storage and protects me from being bumped, when I rummage through my gadgets. . The control ranges printed on the handle are also practical. I recommend it!
