I've been making A LOT of smoothies at home since my youngest became a pretty picky eater. The only way I can get him to eat his veggies is to mix them all up in a smoothie to mask it. My last one had failed and the motor burned out as I was using it almost every other day! This one beats my old "commercial" blender by miles! It's big, it has a spout for easy pouring, and best of all, it mixes really well! Very powerful vortex mixing that allows you to get all the contents of the mixer without even manually pressing it. I've made mixes of frozen lentils, sweet potatoes, and cauliflower (along with fruit) and blended everything very smooth, no chunks! The mug itself is plastic, making it lightweight, and the base is heavy with a monster motor (2200 watts of power! Yes, I did my research!). This is a very expensive blender at a VERY cheap price! Such good value for money for this reliable device! Cleaning is also very easy, because before washing I mix it with warm water and a drop of soap - and it all washes off the blades :)
