Second update: They contacted me and gave me a solution for my backpack's zipper problem. I know that if they fix their zipper issue, which was the ONLY issue with the backpack, I can count on the company to help me with any other issues. I will say they stand behind their products and I respect that. Update: This failed. About a week ago a zipper broke and she started using another one that needed a ring because the pull tab came loose. Glad you gave up today. Completely ruined and unusable. She is in the 4th grade and is not yet carrying anything heavy. All of their last 4 backpacks have lasted ALL year with no issues. Even the ones with baby pears, and you know what? The light still works! She's been at school for 10 weeks! Don't waste money. I've spent less on a backpack that's still in use. First post: It looked good, but I refrained from posting a review until my daughter went to school and had it tested. Lightning was a problem. It hasn't let me down yet (knock on wood) but the zipper pull is long gone. They were at school maybe a month and a half. I was really expecting more but let's see how we get through to the end of the year when it comes to that.
