I bought this because it's one of those things I've needed for years but never found the time to get myself. We wanted to camp and it was a good time to get an emergency radio. The build quality is good, everything works. I won't say the sound quality is fantastic, it's just for you. I found an old radio station at the campsite and just let it play for a few hours. Reception was very good with a small antenna and it wasn't a strong station. The next day I let it charge in the sun. A few weeks later, after Hurricane Zeta, power went out for nearly a day. This meant entertainment would eat up my already low mobile data. After using this radio to listen to a weather band, I found a local station that played 80's hits and reported weather and power outages. It made an awkward situation a little more comfortable. I kept it on the windowsill so it's constantly charging. Didn't have to charge or wind up my phone, but I'm glad there are options. A flashlight is helpful. Just a warning, if you press and hold the SOS button it will go off a very loud alarm. I thought it was flashing morse code SOS but it doesn't seem! In general, a very good radio, I recommend it to everyone!
