I recently purchased a large number of white china sets from various brands to enhance my dining table. I first bought salad plates 8 inches, then 6 inches. Both were flat in design, with the 6-inch being more like saucers than salad plates. You are perfect. The design element that won me over was the raised hemline and the next feature I liked was the medium size. like sandwich plates, some side dishes and of course small salads and desserts. They are beautifully glazed and heavy. They're also easy to hand wash and come out very clean (and sterilized) after the dishwasher. I am completely satisfied, including the price. If you are considering 6 inch salad or dessert plates, choose this size. the reason why the lip serves as a dam for bandages and fillings.
