Very well made and surprisingly good value! Compare to settings that cost a lot more! This is NOT one of the many "cheap" devices of this nature that we see on sale for around $100, not remotely. For an additional $60.00 on the price of this Sunwayfoto unit, you get solid, precision-machined aluminum hardware, well-cushioned hinges with click-detents, a matte black powder-coat finish with easy-to-read laser engraving, and white-enamelled numbering. The handles, large and small, are machined parts with knurled lugs for a solid tactile feel. There is a "minor" critic, but that's not a product issue, it's just that you can't see the scale in the photos. The images show a Nikon DSLR mounted on a tripod. The tripod in this shot needs to be a VERY MAXIMUM tripod, as does the DSLR. That's a little less than I expected. It works well with smaller DSLRs and all smaller sizes. It doesn't really scale properly to work with a full-size DSLR, and lens limitations can also be a real problem. It doesn't really work well with the 5D3 without the battery, only with the miniature EF 50mm f/1.8 STM lens (one of the smallest lenses Canon makes). I think it will work great for EOS M, Nikon 1 and other similar sized mirrorless systems as well as good compact cameras like Canon G series etc. It can be used with Canon "Rebel" or "T" DSLRs with small pancake-shaped lenses, but for now we'll push things forward. All in all very well done. Again, I cannot fault the product for not understanding what the sizes advertised mean. just know
