The phone works very well and is exactly as described. I like it when my cell phone rings, all the phones in the house ring; very convenient. I have tried to provide some details below.1. The base of the phone has a very high quality assembly. Phones are a lot worse, but they're still good enough for home use. Maybe not for permanent office use, but then I would use a DECT headset accessory, which I think is great.2. The base and phone screens are very well lit and very easy to read, including the time, which is updated with a recognizable caller ID with every incoming call. Icons and indicators such as Bluetooth, message waiting, landline line usage, busy cell line, missed calls, etc. speak for themselves.3. As mentioned above, the Bluetooth feature is the most convenient and wonderful feature of the phone. My phone needs to be within 20 or 30 feet of the base for it to connect, but in my small cabin that's not a problem. When my cell phone is connected and receives a call, every handset in the house rings and I can answer the call from anyone. It's incredibly comfortable. A small point of criticism: if your cell phone rings when it is connected (and therefore every phone rings), you obviously have the option of picking it up on your cell phone or handset. However, when you pick up the handset from your mobile phone, all handsets and the base will show the missed call even if the call was not missed.4. The Directory is solid and strong in one respect, but terrible in another. Of course, it is built into all phones, which is very convenient. You can also import a catalog from your mobile phone. However, this feature is disappointing. The way contacts are imported is unpredictable. For example, if you have a contact in your cell, John H. Doe, and you have a mobile, home, and work number for that contact, all three numbers will be imported as separate contacts. However, if you scroll through the directory, the name may be too long to display on your phone. So you can see that it says "John H. Do." and not "John H. Doe (Mobile)". Having John H. Do. three times in your contact list isn't helping you if you don't know which number is which. (Note that this is only a problem with longer names. Short names like Jane will show up as "Jane Mobile". Call handset 2 from the base and automatically put speakerphone on handset 2 so everyone in their Nearby simply calling can speak to answer Essentially, the recipient must go off-hook to press the "push-to-talk" button to answer , and an intercom call from one handset to another requires, that the second person picks up the phone Why did these companies I'm not sure I gave up the real intercom 6. My answering machine tests were very brief because I use my phone service's voicemail but it seemed very good. It also integrates with my phone's voicemail service to notify me of message waiting.7.Sound quality on the handset is a bit tinny, but better than most n others.8.The availability of a DECT headset (AT&T TL7600) makes it worthwhile.Best sound ever I've heard it in a handset or headset before and it integrates perfectly.
