One of these bearings was used to replace the bottom bearing in a ceiling fan. It was initially quiet as a new fan and the bearing should fail in about a month, although the bearing is still running it makes noise just like the 30 year old bearing it replaced. The main reason I bought these was to make the fan as quiet as possible.
