I bought my son as a Christmas present as he has always tried to play with regular fridge magnets. He was 15 months old at the time and loved her then and still loves her. They are one of his favorite toys. They're big enough that I don't have to worry about them getting in his mouth and becoming a choking hazard. They are made of wood and appear to be of good quality. He has been playing with them quite regularly for the past 3 months and they show no signs of wear. He plays with them, but not like magnets; he cooks them, constantly putting them in and taking them out of his favorite bucket and playing "cars" with them. Needless to say, they've proven to be a multi-faceted toy that he doesn't seem to tire of very quickly. I highly recommend.
